This wine is made from a light pressing of mostly Marechal Foch grapes with a bit of lightly pressed deChaunac. Our Poet’s series is dedicated to the memory and works of a distant relative, Robert Tannahill from Paisley, Scotland. Many of his poems live on today and his importance in Scotland’s history is emphasized in his inclusion in the Hall of Heroes in the William Wallace National Monument in Sterling, Scotland.
Charley Tannehill, a.k.a. Rattlesnake Charley is maybe the most colorful member of our family's past. Somewhere around 1886 Charley left his Nebraska home just before his 21st birthday and headed out across the prairie. Charley went from picking fruit in California to delivering mail by horseback, but his biggest adventure was to land a job with "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show."
This semi-dry red can be served slightly chilled or at a cool room temperature. Enjoy now or age up to 1 year past vintage date.
